Discounted rates for new, expanding companies
单源的的 Economic Development Rate (EDR) is designed to attract new employers and retain and support businesses wishing to expand their operations in our service territories. Electric bill discounts are available for up to five years for new or existing businesses that meet minimum load and job creation requirements included in Arizona’s 质量工作 or Qualified Facility 税收抵免.
例如, businesses that expands operations into existing vacant facilities and meet certain requirements could receive a 30 percent discount on a portion of their monthly electric bill for the first year.
New and existing customers taking service under this rate must provide written documentation to qualify for the discount. EDR availability is limited to a total customer load of 50 megawatts (MW).

Here’s an example of how a company opening new facilities in our service territory can greatly reduce their energy costs through the EDR. 在这个场景中, a manufacturer on our Large Power Service Time-of-Use (EILPST) rate has a peak annual demand of 3 MW, an average usage of 1,620 megawatt hours (MWh) and a load factor of 75 percent.

Commercial Energy Solutions
The UniSource Commercial Energy Solutions program offers rebates to commercial electric and commercial gas customers to reduce their upfront costs for upgrading to energy efficient lighting, refrigeration controls, 暖通空调, 热水器, 炉, boilers and commercial kitchen griddles. We offer several options to help businesses increase energy efficiency and reduce monthly energy costs.
